Was your home built before 1973? If so, there is a good chance your home contains lead-based paint which can lead to lead poisoning.
Lead-based paint can be located in high traffic areas such as doors, door frames, railings, porches, banisters, and windowsills. These areas can be often touched by children and pets causing potential hazards.
Lead-based paint is present in many homes and if in good condition it is not usually a problem.
However, if this paint is chipping, peeling, damaged, chalking, or damp the issue needs to be addressed immediately.
There is a chance of lead-based paint in your home if it was built before 1978. Lead poisoning can be caused by lead from paint, including lead-contaminated dust.
Settled dust can re-enter the air when the area is swept or vacuumed.
High levels of exposure to lead can cause damage to the central nervous system and kidneys, this can lead to more severe health issues the longer an individual exposed.
We take as many samples as requested inside or on the home and send them to our trusted lab. A detailed report is received within 72 hours.
The report documents if there are particulates in the home at elevated levels and support staff is available for questions
